Newlands is just a 5 minute car journey to the centre of Epworth, home of the Wesleys and the World of Methodism. John Wesley, founder of Methodism, was born in the town in 1703 at the Old Rectory, which after being burnt down, was rebuilt and now preserved. The town of Gainsborough is just 9 miles away; an inland port on the River Trent with its little known treasure the Old Hall, an outstanding timber framed medieval manor house with 15th century brick tower.

The cottages provide an ideal base to visit not just Lincolnshire with its pretty Wolds’ villages, but Nottinghamshire as well. Within an easy drive are Lincoln, Louth, York, Newark and the forests at Sherwood and Clumber as well as Ruffed Park and is only a 15 minute drive to/from the new Robin Hood airport, Doncaster. There are super walks from the door as well as many others just a short distance away. A variety of shops (including gift shops), restaurants, and pubs are located just 1 ½ miles away. For those guests wishing to stay closer to home, Newlands boasts 4 acres of grounds complete with woodland and large lake.

The farmstead on which the caravan park lies existed in Saxon times and is mentioned in the Domesday Book. The origins of the Hall date from 1604.

The park is situated half a mile from the town of Boroughbridge across the river Ure in Langthorpe village. The park takes a limited number of touring vans and tents since much of the area is used to space out the static caravans. The park has a games room incorporating a snooker table for adults and pool & dart for the younger family members should the weather dictate!

Wrens of Ryedale is a quiet family run caravan park catering for touring caravans, tents and static holiday homes. Set in the heart of beautiful Ryedale countryside on the edge of the North York Moors.

The park is ideal for those looking for a peaceful holiday in the country, while still being within easy reach of major tourist attractions such as the historic City of York, the Dales, Scarborough and the coast.

The park totals four acres in area. The pitches, on open, level ground are sheltered by mature trees and the site is surrounded by farmland. A children's play area is also provided.

For the 2008 season we have a brand new luxury amenity block that is centrally heated with free showers, laundry facilities, hair and hand drying, and separate dishwashing area.

The peaceful atmosphere as well as the rural setting of Wrens is an important part of the attraction of the site. Visitors often comment on how quiet we are even when busy. If you are looking for a quiet site to relax on after or instead of a busy day then look no further.

In the heart of Herriot Country and bordering the North Yorks National Park, York House offers a beautiful countryside setting. The Park is situated in the heart of the tiny Hamlet of Balk and is only a couple of miles from the market town of Thirsk.
